From the New Albany Health and Wellness Center to the New Albany Walking Club, Village residents and businesses consistently demonstrate a commitment to healthy living. 

The outgrowth of a partnership between New Albany-Plain Local School District and Mount Carmel Health, the Health and Wellness Center is among the earliest initiatives.  The facility, situated on the school district’s learning campus, includes a wellness center that offers the latest educational offerings, health screenings and related services and a family center that provides patients with a variety of timely, convenient health care close to home.  

The Village is also home to the Mount Carmel New Albany Surgical Center, the area’s only orthopedic specialty hospital.  The facility has become a magnet for wide range of related health care services that are currently under development in the business park.

Village officials have consistently worked to expand New Alany's leisure trail network.  Currently, the Village has 27 miles of trails, 15 miles of connections and plans for 62 additional miles of leisure trail construction.
