Additionally, the Small Business Development Center and Ohio TechAngels have offices in the New Albany Business Development Center.
Regional Impacts
This facility illustrates the commitment of the Village of New Albany and TechColumbus to foster successful start-ups in central Ohio, turning ideas into new jobs for the entire region. As the companies grow, with advisory assistance from all the partners involved, the entire region benefits.
Local Impacts
The New Albany Business Development Center is an important component of New Albany’s economic development strategy of encouraging the growth of technology businesses of all sizes. New Albany is well positioned to assist start-up businesses that experience success and could eventually call New Albany their permanent homes as their workforce needs grow beyond the scope of the center.
New Albany Business Scholarship Program
As a part of the New Albany Business Retention & Expansion Program, the Village initiated an innovative program in 2008 aimed at retention and growth for existing small and mid-sized businesses. The program awards a scholarship to six local business owners for the opportunity to participate in a full year of business coaching in partnership with David and Linda Brincks of ActionCOACH Business Coaching.
